Most resorts will make sure that you are certified in about 1-3 days, depending on the resort. However, it is important to understand that when you get certified this quickly, you will have very little training in emergency type scenarios. Things may jumble in your mind because it is a lot for your brain to remember. It is probably better to take a scuba diving course if at all possible.
