It is estimated
that, on average, every 10 seconds someone somewhere in the world
goes blind. Sadly, in many instances that blindness could have
been prevented. Australia-based Scan Optics manufactures portable
ophthalmic microscopes that are helping aid organizations stem the
tide of preventable blindness.
